THE PROGRAM

Based in Seattle, WA, THE PATH Artistic Residency & Pre-Professional Training is for dancers who are committed to exploring and evolving their relationship with the art of dance. Designed to create focused time and space, THE PATH supports dancers in pursuing both short-term milestones and long-term artistic ambitions while preserving and deepening their love of dance.

The Purpose

  • Provide elevated, intentional technical training that challenges and refines technique across disciplines.

  • Facilitate artistic development through choreography labs, repertory exposure, improvisation practices, and creative mentorship.

  • Offer sustained personal mentorship to support professional pathways, goal-setting, injury prevention, and holistic well-being.

The Commitment

  • Dancers accepted into THE PATH Residency agree to attend weekly structured training for the full academic year (September–June).

  • This consistent weekly engagement ensures measurable artistic growth for participants and viability for each residency cohort.

The Components

  • Weekly: technique classes, cross-training, and movement workshops led by faculty with professional and pedagogical experience.

  • Artistic Labs: monthly sessions devoted to choreography, creative process, and performance research.

  • Repertory & Performance Opportunities: staged showings and in-studio run-throughs to develop performance readiness and collaborative skills.

  • Mentorship & Career Development: individualized meetings addressing audition preparation, resume/portfolio development, injury management, and career planning.
